WAPRO Committees

WAPRO needs your help! The success of WAPRO is dependent upon the work of its members. Four committees have been created under the three primary organizational tenets of WAPRO’s mission to continue the efforts for developing WAPRO.

If you are interested in participating in any WAPRO Committees to help with conferences, certifications, newsletters, website, or other activities, please contact the WAPRO office.

Education

Training Development Committee

This committee works to develop the curriculum and program content for WAPRO’s Spring Training, Fall Conference, and any teleconferences, video conferences or webinars delivered by WAPRO.

Membership

Certification Committee

The Certification Committee’s purpose is to administer WAPRO’s Certified Public Records Officer (CPRO) program. This includes a review of applications materials, approved course list maintenance, program change recommendations and coordination of communications about the program.

Outreach

Policy and Practices Committee

The Policies and Practices Committee leverages the collective knowledge and experience of members to respond to proposed legislation and to share best practices used to respond to existing laws and policies.

Communications

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee (formerly the Website & Newsletter Committee) is part of WAPRO’s member Outreach mission, working in concert with the Policies and Practices Committee, which is also organized under Outreach. The committee exists to maintain current and meaningful communications and information sharing with WAPRO’s membership. This is done through the organization’s website and through quarterly newsletters and other push communications.
