Over 2 years with the title of Public Records Officer, and 6 years as clerk/specialist.

Take as much training as you can, and use your network!
Q. How did you get involved with WAPRO?
Over 6 years ago when I first started public records training at a Police Department.
Q. What do you consider the biggest public records challenge (either with the PRA or holding a position responsible for compliance with the PRA)?
Changes in case law and what’s allowed, not allowed. Also, keeping up with the sheer volume!
Q. What is your favorite motto/quote?
The answer is always no if you don’t ask.
Q. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
Camping, reading, backpacking, paddle boarding, and traveling.
